The new season is just around the corner, which means we can look forward to a series of exciting races, both on the road and on the mountain bike! Whether you're riding your first race of the year or already in great shape, it's always good to look ahead and set your goals clearly.
Road Races: Speed and Tactics
For the young road race enthusiasts, the season kicks off with some great events. Tight pelotons, high speeds, and smart positioning play a crucial role. This is the perfect time to put your endurance and tactical skills to the test. Make sure you know where the decisive points of the course are and train specifically for the challenges ahead. One of the major highlights this season is the National Youth Road Championship on June 21 in Oldenzaal for youth aged 7 to 14. On the same day, the National Championship for Junior Men and Junior Women will take place in Roden, Drenthe. And on June 22, it’s time for the National Road Championship for Newcomer Girls and Junior Men, also in Roden. This is an amazing opportunity to showcase your talent and compete with the best young riders in the country!
MTB Races: Technique and Strength
For the young mountain bikers among us, there are some exciting events on the calendar. Technical descents, tough climbs, and explosive power are essential to making the difference. Don’t forget to keep sharpening your technical skills, as they can be the deciding factor between a podium finish or a lost race.
3 Nations Cup 2025 & LJC – The Season Ahead
The 2025 3 Nations Cup season kicks off on March 29th and 30th in Oldenzaal, but before that, the LJC (National Youth Competition) begins on March 15th in Oldebroek – a perfect opportunity to start the season off strong!
